Essential Ingredients of an Herbal Cleanse

A good herbal cleanse formula contains: sheep sorrel, myrrh, rhubarb root (turkey), ginger, fennel, yellow dock, rose hips, alfalfa, dandelion, shave grass, kelp, plantain, barberry, hawthorn, licorice, cascara sagrada, irish moss, marshmallow, burdock, lobelia, oregon grape, and goldenseal. The herbs in the formula should be wild-crafted or grown organically whenever possible.

These herbs work together to soften and eliminate the accumulated mucoid plaque in the intestinal tract. This formula also consists of herbs, which provide nourishment and important electrolytes during a period of cleansing. Included are herbs designed specifically by nature to assist each major organ in cleansing and rejuvenating itself.
Bentonite Clay: acts like a magnet, drawing and absorbing toxic matter from the entire alimentary tract. It can absorb 180 times or more its own weight in toxins, bacteria and parasites. When used with psyllium husk powder it pulls the loosened mucoid layers from the intestinal tract. The loosened matter then adheres to the psyllium, allowing a quick exit in large pieces from the body.

Psyllium Husk Powder: swells when used with a liquid. It transforms into a soft, jelly like substance. It takes on the shape of the intestinal canal, acting like a broom and sweeping clean any loosened matter.

You can make a psyllium/bentonite shake by combining two tablespoons of liquid bentonite clay and one tablespoon of psyllium in a cup of water. You have to drink it right away because it quickly turns to thick jelly and is impossible to drink at that point.
Taken alternately every hour and a half the herbal cleanse formula works to soften the Mucoid plaque while the psyllium and bentonite deal with it.
